Improving the Instructional Program
School and system leaders work to improve the instructional program for students with special education needs in a number of ways, including
- observing classroom instruction, and providing constructive feedback to teachers
- provide teachers with the opportunity to observe effective instructional approaches among colleagues, including differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
- participating with staff in their instructional improvement work, including developing quality Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs
