Improving the Instructional Program

School and system leaders work to improve the instructional program for students with special education needs in a number of ways, including

observing classroom instruction, and providing constructive feedback to teachers
provide teachers with the opportunity to observe effective instructional approaches among colleagues, including differentiated instruction and Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
participating with staff in their instructional improvement work, including developing quality Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special education needs
