School leaders work to build relationships and develop people in a number of ways, including

lead discussions about the relative merits of current and alternative practices related to literacy
facilitate opportunities for the staff to learn from one another
have frequent, meaningful interactions with teachers, students and parents in order to further the school literacy goals
