Paying Attention to Mathematics: Building a Robust Understanding of Fractions
- The focus for this 4 session Adobe Connect series with Dr. Marian Small is primarily Grades 3 -8 content, but the sessions are open to all teachers. If you are a K-2 teacher, it will help you know what’s ahead. If you are a Grades 9-12 teacher, it will help you fill in gaps. There will be four 90-minute sessions from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m. on April 24, May 8, May 22, May 29.

- Opportunities to attend ePLOR online Adobe Connect sessions for Gap Closing J/I, Gap Closing I/S, ePractice, Classroom Dynamics and WINS are being offered April 30 - May 7, 2012 at 4pm and 7pm.
Enrolment is limited. Applications will be accepted on a first come first served basis. You are encouraged to gather a community of learners to share a single log-in at one site. In this case only one application is required.
Applications for these professional learning sessions close on April 18, 2012.

- eProfessional Learning On Request is synchronous online professional learning via Adobe Connect facilitated by Provincial Math Coaches to familiarize educators with K-12 MathGAINS resources. With the newest resource, learn about providing precisely targeted remediation through research affirmed Gap Closing: Intermediate and Senior work materials to improve the achievement of students (including English language learners and those with special education needs) who have been identified as being significantly behind in mathematics.

- Making GAINS in Mathematics Map provides an authentic example for teachers and administrators to implement a plan to improve student achievement in Grade 9 Applied EQAO mathematics scores.
The file <Making GAINS in Mathematics: Map of the St. Jean de Brebeuf CHS Journey, 2009-2010> is associated with the Collaborative Learning: GAINS in Grade 9 Mathematics (YCDSB) Adobe Presenter and can be found under Leading Change/Innovations by Boards in the left menu.
