Literacy in the Arts
“Fostering students’ [literacy] skills is an important part of the teachers’ role in the arts classroom. Students need to be able to use aural, oral, physical, and visual communication as well as reading, writing, and media literacy skills to gain new learning in the arts and to communicate their understanding of what they have learned.”
