Throughout the province English language learners are learning the language of instruction at the same time as they are learning the curriculum and developing a range of literacy skills. |

Support for ELLs and Literacy Camp 2013
- Registration and information regarding Support for English Language Learners Summer Camp 2013 is now available. Participants will engage in an exciting professional learning opportunity with a goal to deepen their understanding of adolescent literacy and build their capacity to lead the learning of others in order to support the programming for English language learners across the curriculum.

Capacity Building Series - Canadian-born English Language Learners
- Most English language learners (ELLs) in Ontario classrooms are Canadian-born. This new monograph is a starting point for conversations about how to set the stage to appropriately program for Canadian-born ELLs.

Initial Assessment for Elementary Mathematics

The Initial Assessment for elementary mathematics to guide appropriate programming is now available. This assessment is only for teachers with responsibility for assessing English language learners new to Canada. This assessment is password protected. Password information has been provided to provincially funded, English language school boards in Ontario.
