Assessing GlobalĀ  Competencies / Transferable Skills

The province’s renewed vision for education will help ensure that all students develop the knowledge, skills and characteristics to become personally successful, economically productive and actively engaged citizens.

We are updating provincial assessment and reporting practices to ensure they are culturally relevant, measure a wider range of learning, and better reflect student well-being and equity. To drive this change, teaching, learning and assessment must be enhanced to provide students daily opportunities in classrooms and schools to develop the transferrable skills of critical thinking, innovation & creativity, self-directed learning, collaboration and citizenship.
