Segment 1: Self-Assessment – The Process (video)
 Self assessment is crucial to improved learning; however, the skills need to be modeled and taught. This segment introduces a four-stage process for developing students' self-assessment skills.
 
Segment 2: Self Assessment - Defining Success Criteria (video)
 Knowing what they are learning and what it looks like when they learn is the first step in teaching students to self assess as they learn.
 
Segment 3: Apply the Success Criteria (video)
 Students learn to apply success criteria in assessing their work.
 
Segment 4: Feedback on Peer and Self-Assessment (video)
 Feedback from the teacher and other students improves the quality of students' peer and self-assessments. Peer assessment allows students to develop and practice their skills in giving and receiving feedback.
 
Segment 5: Setting Learning Goals (video)
 Once students have learned to recognize, describe and apply success criteria, they can use their self and peer assessments to plan next steps
