Developing the Organization to Support Desired Practices

School and system leaders work to develop the organization in a number of ways, including

  • create a school environment in which parents are welcomed, respected and valued as partners in their children’s learning
  • provide regular opportunities that facilitate collaboration and establish a system for monitoring their collaborative work
  • encourage staff in the school to play a leadership role in promoting positive behaviour through a caring and safe learning environment for all students, including students with special education needs
